Hyundai Engine Repair

Not every knock or oil-consumption issue means a full replacement. As Hyundai engine specialists we diagnose the real cause first — so you only pay for what your engine actually needs, whether that’s a targeted repair or a blueprinted long-block replacement.

Repair vs. Replace

When Repair Makes Sense — And When It Doesn't

Some Hyundai engine issues — a failing oil pump, a clogged oil cooler, or early-stage bearing wear caught before metal contamination spreads — can be repaired without replacing the entire long block. Once rod bearings have failed and metal debris has circulated through the oil system, though, a full remanufactured replacement is almost always the more reliable and cost-effective option, since a partial repair on a contaminated engine tends to fail again shortly after.

We start every repair inquiry with an honest diagnostic assessment, not an automatic upsell to a full engine — our specialty is knowing exactly where that line is on Theta II, Nu, and Lambda platforms.

Which Hyundai Engines Apply to Your Vehicle?

We stock long blocks for these Hyundai models: Sonata, Santa Fe, Elantra, and Tucson, covering engine families 2.4L Theta II (G4KE/G4KJ), 2.0L Theta II Turbo (G4KH), and 2.0L Nu (G4NA/G4NB).
